Our Season 1 Award Finalists have been determined using a comprehensive scoring system that rewards every impactful play. Whether it’s racking up yards, scoring touchdowns, or locking down the defense, every stat counts. Below, you’ll find the top finalists in each category, along with a brief overview of how each award is scored and what makes these players stand out.
MVP (Most Valuable Player)
Scoring Overview:
The MVP score is a composite measure that factors in total yards (across passing, rushing, and receiving), touchdowns, tackles, pass break-ups, interceptions, sacks, safeties, and even team wins. In short, every facet of the game is valued to find the player who has the greatest overall impact.
Finalists:
- Shamere Rolfe – 3,645 MVP points
- Justin Laguna – 3,329 MVP points
- Sterry Codrington – 3,047 MVP points

Offensive Player of the Year
Scoring Overview:
Offensive points are all about scoring and yardage. Touchdowns are worth the most here (60 points each), followed by total yards (1 point per yard). Additional points are awarded for conversions, receptions, and rush attempts—with bonuses for exceptional efficiency (yards per catch and yards per rush). This system rewards those who drive the offense and put points on the board.

- Jalin Butler – 2,152 Offensive Points
- Ashante Worthy – 1,918 Offensive Points
- Joey Agostini – 1,270 Offensive Points
- Lu Savage – 1,210 Offensive Points
Hype: Jalin Butler’s dynamic playmaking has been the catalyst for his team’s explosive offense. Ashante Worthy continues to dazzle with his dual-threat capability, while Joey Agostini and Lu Savage add their own flair. The offensive battle has been fierce, and these players have elevated their game to new heights.
Defensive Player of the Year
Scoring Overview:
Defensive contributions are measured by key stats such as tackles (the most heavily weighted), sacks, interceptions, and pass break-ups. Defensive touchdowns, labeled as lateral TDs this season, also add significant value. Every big stop and turnover helps shift the momentum of the game.

- Antonio Gonzalez – 838 Defensive Points
- Jelan Hibbert – 832 Defensive Points
- Charlire Barbiere – 803 Defensive Points
- Lu Savage – 750 Defensive Points
- Trevor Louro – 746 Defensive Points
Hype: In a tight race that’s too close to call, Antonio Gonzalez, Jelan Hibbert, and Charlire Barbiere have emerged as defensive juggernauts. Quarterback of the Year
Scoring Overview:
The QB score rewards precision, leadership, and overall production. Points come from passing yards, touchdowns, and completions—with penalties for interceptions thrown—along with contributions on the ground. It’s a true measure of how effectively a quarterback controls the game.
Finalists:
- Justin Hans – 3,337 QB points
- Justin Laguna – 3,175 QB points
- Duval Chatam – 2,878 QB points
- Sterry Codrington – 2,663 QB points
Hype: Justin Hans and Justin Laguna have been at the forefront of their teams’ offenses, delivering precision and clutch performances. Duval Chatam and Sterry Codrington have also put up impressive numbers, making this one of the most competitive QB races in Gee League history.
Ball Hawk Award
Scoring Overview:
Interceptions are KING in this category! The Ball Hawk Award rewards those defenders who consistently disrupt the opposing offense by intercepting passes and breaking up plays. Additional points come from pass break-ups, tackles, and lateral touchdowns.
Finalists:
- Trevor Louro – 780 Ball Hawk Points
- Joey Agostini – 660 Ball Hawk Points
- Steven Cirillo – 660 Ball Hawk Points
- Ant Nalasco – 600 Ball Hawk Points
- Harry Perez – 580 Ball Hawk Points

Rookie of the Year
Scoring Overview:
The Rookie score is similar to the MVP formula but emphasizes the impact of new talent. Points are awarded for total yards, touchdowns, tackles, interceptions, and other key contributions—with a special multiplier for games played to reward consistency over the season.
Finalists:
- Edwin Gerdes – 704 points
- Brendon Reese – 499.5 points
- Matt Hartman – 404.7 points
Hype: Edwin Gerdes has burst onto the scene as a rookie sensation, showing flashes of brilliance that hint at a bright future in the Gee League. Brendon Reese and Matt Hartman have also made significant strides, proving that this new crop of talent is ready to make a lasting impact.
