Who We Are – What It Means to be a GEE

Before I can tell you about The Gee League, let me explain the GEE with a letter to my late father.

Dear Rudi Gee,

I, your 3rd son and 4th child, Jeremy Gaines, made a vow the day you left us, to spread your message of Love, Family and Community. I promised to continue the work you had left behind so suddenly. For the community you grew up in, the family you created, aided and loved was lost without its’ leader. When you left us, you left behind an overwhelming legacy. A two mile long funeral car line, with the Ridgeway Station 34 Fire Department leading the way, as they honored their previous Fire Chief. Seven children, most with families of their own now, heads held high. The Township of Lakewood recognizes all you did for its community and less fortunate members by building a street and naming it Rudi G Way. Quite literally a sign to me, that what you were doing, was bigger than yourself. What you were doing was extremely important, inspiring change and positivity everywhere you went. What you were doing could not be left unattended.

I came to flag football and sports to lean on in hard times. In these times I made ever lasting bonds and relationships with the people I encountered, it would go on to extend to their families and suddenly that pain of loss and loneliness was being consumed by great positive energy. It was then I remembered your words to me;

“Blood isn’t what makes family, Community is what makes family.”

What is a GEE?

Someone who puts community and family above self

Someone who believes in doing the right thing 10x over no matter the cost

Someone who believes in teamwork, dedication and promotes togetherness

Someone who sees a person in need and doesn’t hesitate regardless of race, looks, or any condition

Someone who keeps it 10x more than 100

A GEE is you and me

A GEE is love and unity

A GEE is community and family

A GEE is a GEE

Someone had to continue this great work for unity and love. And it was in December of 2020 when I realized how I could achieve this and make the GEE legacy live on forever,

Welcome to The Gee League, the main pillar of the Gee Sports Corporation

I am its’ Founder and President, Jeremy Gaines, thank you for taking the time out to read about us and our mission

Gee Sports Corporation is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit. Dedicated to not only help but provide for the community. With sports as the common denominator, and The Gee League being its breeding ground, GSC aims to encourage exceptional social morals and values through organized community sports and events. While also providing an outlet for the less fortunate and misguided at all ages through give back programs and other unique and special interactions. It is through sports we can simulate life situations, the good times and the hardships. It is through sports we can overcome downfalls and sharpen our assets. It is through sports we can learn that we are not alone in life but on one BIG team. We need just find our role and excel. Through these moments we also hope to capture and cultivate the camaraderie and transcend it to those in need. Passing on life lessons and life support for each other. Not limited to but specializing in community events and fundraisers to achieve great goals. United we stand, divided we fall. Together there is no mountain too tall.

The Gee League was built in hopes of achieving a like minded community of passionate people who desire competition. Together through that passion and competition we can and already have achieved a great impact on the community and lives around us. With teamwork, proper preparation, collective communication, persistent practice, and a dedicated selfless contribution, winning in sports can become easy. When we take these lessons and utilize them in the real world, life can become easier and more enjoyable as well. Our unique 5v5 draft style promotes new experiences each season and offers a way to learn the different types of people in this world. To finer understand our role on a team, understand our abilities and limitations as a person and be able to flourish together. At the end of it all the Gee League was created to present an opportunity for people to experience family on a world wide scale. You often hear the phrase “The world is small ”. It is my belief our world is our community and it is our job to make that community thrive. We will continue to grow and continue to have an impact on those around us and enable great change in our community.

Because when it comes to The Gee League; it’s more than flag, it’s family.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!

Our Mission is actually simple, build a community of all walks of life, that can support and elevate each other
