🏆 Special Edition: Gees Outside the League 🏆
This week, we’re stepping outside the lines of Gee League competition to highlight some incredible off-field action. While our players might be fierce rivals in the league, when it comes to flag football outside the Gee League, it’s all about family. This weekend, several of our standout athletes came together and dominated at the Ska Moog Flag Football Tournament at the legendary MetLife Jets Stadium!
Under the leadership of Tyler “Tee Why” Gabriel (Hawaii Green Wave), these Gee League stars joined forces to compete in the Pro C Division and left with the gold:
- Tyler Gabriel – Hawaii Green Wave
- Isaiah Johnston – Rugrats University
- Damian Johnson (Dame) – Hawaii Green Wave
- Benjamin Watson – Underdog University
- Steve Soletto – Piff State Litty Lions
- Michael Corino – UCLA Bruisers
- Joey Torres – UCLA Bruisers
- Nasir Dillard – Former Rugrats Captain, home from Florida
After an initial loss, concerns about team chemistry surfaced. But in true Gee fashion, Tyler and his “twin” Dame rallied the troops. They got the team playing “Gee Way” ball, ultimately dominating the competition and securing championship rings. The result? TTG (though, let’s be real, it should be called TTGEE 😂) ended the day as champions of the Pro C Division, showcasing that when Gees unite, they win.
Iron sharpens iron! 💪
Shout Out to the Gee League Avengers
Meanwhile, another squad of Gee League stars—the Gee League Avengers—made waves in the Pro B Division, going 3-0 before falling just 4 points short in a thrilling championship game. Even though they didn’t walk away with the trophy, their run was nothing short of impressive.
The Gee League Avengers roster included:
- H3 Fraser – Underdog University
- Joey Agostini – Bincinatti Hellcats
- Steve Soletto – Piff State Litty Lions
- Devontime Dev – Head Secondary Ref (stepping onto the field to deliver big-time plays!)
- Jay Bagwell (JB) – Underdog University
- Karnell Wactor (KWAC) – Bincinatti Hellcats
- Anthony Nalasco – UCLA Bruisers
- Jacob Delcid – Colorado Stars
- Justin Laguna – Former Piff and Clemson Champion
- Trey Cohen – Former Alabama Grail Groat
Though they came up short, the Gee League Avengers proved they’re a force to be reckoned with, dominating the Pro B Division with a 3-0 record before their close championship loss.
It’s more than just flag football—it’s family. Until the next time the Gees are outisde, Stay tuned for more highlights both on and off the field, and don’t forget to check out the full stats and rankings in the Stats Tab! 😤👀
