This week, we dive deep into the Power Point Rankings, which reflect the overall contribution of players across multiple statistical categories. Power Points are a unique system designed to reward players for their all-around performance—whether it’s scoring touchdowns, making crucial defensive stops, or gaining yards. The more impactful a player is in different phases of the game, the more Power Points they accumulate.

Without further ado, let’s get into the Top 5 in each major category and see who’s making waves as we approach midseason!

🏆 MVP POWER RANKINGS (TOP 5)

The MVP standings reflect each player’s complete impact on the game, factoring in total yards, touchdowns, and defensive contributions.

  1. Jerock Gaines (Piff State Litty Lions) – 2,973 points
    Key Stats: With 1,343 total yards, 19 touchdowns, 14 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 safeties, and 3 sacks, Gaines continues to dominate both sides of the ball. His leadership is driving the Lions to victory each week.
  2. Ashante Worthy (Bincinatti Hellcats) – 2,008 points
    Key Stats: Worthy is everywhere with 958 total yards, 14 touchdowns, 12 tackles, and 4 interceptions. His ability to impact all phases of the game has helped the Hellcats to a 7-1 record.
  3. Justin Hans (UCLA Bruisers) – 1,839 points
    Key Stats: Hans’s impressive 824 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 15 tackles keep him at the forefront of the MVP race, proving he’s one of the most versatile players in the league.
  4. Brandon Kurtzman (Rugrats University) – 1,788 points
    Key Stats: Despite missing some games, Kurtzman’s 738 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and key defensive contributions keep him in the top rankings.
  5. Jey Sev (Bake Forrest Reefer Chiefers) – 1,678 points
    Key Stats: Sev’s 550 passing yards, 378 rushing yards, and 10 total touchdowns make him a dual-threat on the field and a major offensive force for his team.

This category rewards the most electrifying players on the offensive side of the ball, excluding quarterbacks, to recognize contributions made by receivers, rushers, and overall playmakers.

  1. Gavin Clark (Rugrats University) – 941 points
    Key Stats: Clark has 314 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns, 6 conversions, and is one of the top contributors to Rugrats University’s high-powered offense.
  2. Jay Bagwell (Underdog University) – 925 points
    Key Stats: Bagwell’s 296 receiving yards, 135 rushing yards, and 6 total touchdowns make him a key offensive weapon for Underdog University.
  3. Nick Barbiere (UCLA Bruisers) – 742 points
    Key Stats: Barbiere continues to be a top target with 292 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, solidifying his place as one of the top offensive players.
  4. Joseph Agostini (Bincinatti Hellcats) – 674 points
    Key Stats: Agostini contributes both in the air and on the ground with 246 receiving yards, 97 rushing yards, and 3 touchdowns.
  5. Jesse Hunt (Piff State Litty Lions) – 644.2 points

🛡 Defensive Player of the Year (Top 5)

The Defensive Player of the Year award recognizes the standout athletes who make their presence felt on defense. Tackles are heavily weighted, but other big plays like safeties, sacks, and turnovers also factor into the rankings. Defensive consistency and game-changing moments separate the elite defenders from the rest.

  1. Lu Savage (Hawaii Green Wave) – 572 points
    Key Stats: Savage has been dominant with 22 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, and constant disruption on the field.
  2. Anthony Wright (Underdog University) – 565 points
    Key Stats: Wright leads the league with 22 tackles and has added a sack to his impressive defensive numbers.
  3. Joey Torres (UCLA Bruisers) – 515 points (4 games played)

🏆 Quarterback of the Year Rankings (Top 5)

The Quarterback of the Year award isn’t just about throwing touchdowns—it’s about the full picture of leadership, decision-making, and contribution to the offense. In our formula, we weigh passing stats heavily while factoring in rushing yards and touchdowns, completions, and even the number of attempts to account for the QB’s role in the offense. Additionally, we’ve added a bonus for quarterbacks with higher completion percentages, rewarding efficiency and accuracy. Every interception thrown deducts from the total, emphasizing the importance of protecting the football.

Now, let’s dive into the Top 5 QBs after Week 3!

  1. Jerock Gaines (Piff State Litty Lions) – 1,855.5 points
    Key Stats: Gaines tops the rankings with 782 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, 561 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, and 72 completions. His dual-threat ability is unmatched, and his completion percentage bonus has propelled him to the top.
